Hello.  I’m Dr. Marvin and I have a Dad Bod.

If you don’t know what a Dad Bod is, then imagine a man with a tire right above his waist. Celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Jason Segal, Seth Rogal, and Adam Sandler have been spotted with the Dad Bod.  And to many (both men and women), it is now okay to have a some love handles, belly rolls, or flab hanging over the junk.

Well… I’ll admit.  It will be a whole lot easier for me to accept the Dad Bod if I was indeed okay with it.  But after much thought, I realized that this is huge excuse for being LAZY.

Yup.  That’s me.  I’m too lazy.  I’m too lazy to get out of bed and head to the gym, to do some push-ups, and to choose the healthier option on the menu.

Most people who look at me say that I look skinny.  I love the compliments but what are they comparing me to?  The way I looked 2 years ago?  The norm for men my age? Or to their idea of what’s “fat” and what’s “skinny.”

Well… I’m going to set the record straight.  Right now.  I’m not okay with this.  This Dad Bod.  Please stop patronizing me and saying that I look fine.  The bottom line is, I can honestly look at myself in a full length mirror and not be happy with the way I look.

And that’s okay.

It is past July 1st, passed the half way point of 2016, and you know what that means… I’m now closer to age 42 than 41.

What’s shocking is that the fat around my waist USUALLY goes down by itself.  However lately, it hasn’t.  Here’s what I asked myself…

“Is it because I’m eating poorly?”

“Is it because I haven’t been working out?”

“Is it because I’ve been stressed out?”

“Is it because I’m getting older and my metabolism is slowing down?”

I didn’t know the answer. So I needed to find out. Last weekend I was turned on by this man, Tim, and his program for fat loss.  After listening to him, I decided to check it out.  A fews days later (and a whole lot of time researching this program on the internet), I’ve signed up, paid the small tuition, and have watched over 5 hours of videos.

Did you know all of the GMO, “vegetable” oils, processed foods, inorganic foods, beef that is not grassfed, dairy…the list goes on, all contribute negatively to your body’s natural ability to burn fat? Yep.

I could try to put the information that I learned into my own words, but I think Tim says it better. Learn more about it for yourself by checking out the video below. Let me know if you have any questions or comments. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

P.S.  If you are a woman and you are feeling a little left out, there’s a 3x weight loss program for you too.  click here
